The Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to a cumulative 75 years imprisonment over corruption linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
Justice James Omotosho, the trial judge, convicted Mamman on a 12-count charge and held that the prison terms would run consecutively.
The court further ruled that the sentence would take effect from the day the former minister is arrested.
Justice Omotosho also directed all security agencies to apprehend Mamman wherever he is found.
In addition, the court ordered the forfeiture of all monies and properties recovered from the former minister to the Federal Government.
The judge further directed Mamman to refund the outstanding balance of the alleged N22 billion linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
