Nigeria’s oldest financial institution, FirstBank, has announced a series of nationwide engagements to commemorate the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, reaffirming its commitment to youth development, education, and financial inclusion across the country.

The bank said the activities, organised in partnership with the Nigerian Television Authority, the Nigeria Future Leaders Festival and Lexicon, are aimed at educating, inspiring, and empowering children from diverse backgrounds.

According to the bank, the celebrations will begin on May 25 with the sponsorship of the NTA Abuja Children’s Day event in Abuja and the Youth Edutainment Theatre (YET) Festival in Lagos. This will be followed by support for the Nigeria Future Leaders Festival on May 26.
