Zarephath Aid, a Lagos based Criminal Justice reforms Non-Governmental Organization has pressed the Federal Government to re-strategize in the war against terror.
Speaking on the series title; ‘War Against Terror; Time to Re-strategize’ (part 2) during its weekly podcast, CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOCUS, Ben Abraham, a legal practitioner and the Founder ZAREPHATH AID stated that every Nation faced with a war, no matter the nature, must apply rudimentary keys if victory would be achieved.
One of such fundamental keys is transparency. He stated that the FG needed to be transparent about the genesis, participants and enablers of this terror regime as against the present opaque approach. The war against the Nation is a war against its people and to succeed, the citizens must be a part of it and even drive it.
The Organization warned that without the citizens’ genuine input and support, the war will remain intractable. In the first part of the series, the NGO had highlighted the overarching need for a new strategy in the war citing the events of Friday May 15th 2026 at Mussa in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State and at Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State where school children were respectively abducted and a mathematics teacher later beheaded. Part 2 of the series is available. WATCH HERE.
